The Secret: Book Your All-Inclusive Directly on Booking.com

Yes, really! 🏝️

Instead of using the usual all-inclusive package platforms, we simply went to Booking.com, entered our destination and dates, and then used the “All-Inclusive” filter.

Once your basic search is done, look to the left under “Filter by.” Scroll a little and you’ll find “All-Inclusive.” Check the box, and boom — you get all the hotels and resorts that offer all-inclusive options.

It’s as simple as that.

And guess what? For our exact same dates and the exact same hotel, we found a price that was at least $1,000 to $2,000 CAD cheaper (minimum!) than what traditional travel agencies were offering.

How to book your flights and accommodations at the best price?

To find the best price—or at least the cheapest option possible—I suggest doing your own research to compare rates. On my end, I always test different possibilities.

This means I look for the best accommodation prices across various platforms such as:

And of course, there is always the option of swapping your home with someone else’s. Your nights will then cost you $0.

In short, I look for the cheapest possible accommodation that still meets my needs! This approach is a guaranteed way to save money.

Once I have spotted my hotel or lodging, I perform the same exercise for plane tickets. I search for the best prices for my flight using a comparison platform like Skyscanner to find the lowest fare.

Step-by-Step: How You Can Do the Same

1️⃣ Search for Your All-Inclusive Hotel on Booking.com

Go to 👉 https://www.booking.com

Enter your destination (ex.: Cancún, Punta Cana, Riviera Maya, etc.).

Enter your travel dates and number of travelers.

Click Search.

Once the list appears, activate the filter “All-Inclusive” (under Meals/Type of Stay).

👉 Then you’ll see all the hotels that offer all-inclusive stays — often cheaper than the packages sold by agencies.

2️⃣ Book Your Flight Separately

Next, we booked our plane tickets ourselves directly on Air Canada:

But of course, you can compare with other airlines depending on your destination (Air Transat, WestJet, Sunwing, etc.).

💡 Tip: When you book your flight and hotel separately, you keep control of your dates, schedules, and options — and often, you still save money.

3️⃣ Book Your Airport-to-Hotel Transfer

Booking.com also offers an Airport Taxi/Transfer section where you can choose a reliable transport service ahead of time.

This is exactly what we used — super simple, affordable, and you receive your confirmation by email within minutes. It cost us $50 each way for our family of five.
