Vanilla and orange pear crisp

This is yummy! A refreshing summer dessert, my vanilla and orange pear crisp will change you from the traditional apple crisp!

Plus, it’s nice and light… and it’s even better served with a scoop of ice cream! Here is my vanilla and orange pear crisp.

Ingredients

For the pear filling

4 pears, peeled
The juice of an orange
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
1/8 cup of sugar
2 tbsp. of cornstarch

For the crisp topping

1/2 cup of melted butter
The zest of an orange
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
1 cup of old-fashioned oatmeal
1/4 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of all-purpose flour

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 380F.
  2. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients “FOR THE PEAR FILLING”.
  3. In a baking dish, add the pear filling.
  4. In another bowl, combine all the ingredients “FOR THE CRISP TOPPING” in the order indicated.
  5. Spoon the topping over the pear filling.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the crisp is golden brown.
  7. Enjoy!
