For some time now, we’ve been hearing a lot about mental overload. For those of you who wonder what mental overload is. The mental overload is usually described as the overstimulation of the senses from the environment, as per instance the day-to-day management of the home chores for a woman – or a man, could be a cause.

You know, managing the household and trying to remember everything at all time. From the doctor appointments to the baby diapers that you have to buy… I know you know… When you have to ask your partner to change a diaper – because it’s more than overdue (and you feel that they just don’t see those things) … THAT is a “mental overload”.

Another house chore that could be included in someone’s mental overload, could be anything that relates to cooking or being in the kitchen.

Let’s be honest here, cooking 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, is a lot of work.

It’s a lot of work, when you only have to feed yourself, it’s even more work when you have to feed your partner and your kids.

When we think of the time we spend looking for recipes to cook, finding new ideas, writing our grocery shopping list, driving to the grocery store, doing our grocery shopping, driving back home and unpacking our groceries. Then you have to take the time to cook, to weigh your ingredients and then clean once you’re done…Ouff! Writing down all the steps that need to be achieved, is pretty much stressing me out at the moment. When you think of it, you spend many hours prepping for your meals which definitely adds to your mental overload.

They’re many solutions to help you lower your stress level and manage your mental overload.

At first, ask for help.

Actually, I got to try a new service lately, that can help you with your day-to-day mental overload.

I got to try the ready to cook boxes from Chef Cook it. It had a really positive impact on my day-to-day life as a mom, an entrepreneur and as a blogger!

Cook It exists to simplify your life. Every week, with a couple of online clicks, you pick your meals for the upcoming week among the “eight meals of the week”. The following week, you receive your big box (which is recyclable) with all the ingredients you will be needing for the week. Everything is pre-weight and ready to go. Then you follow the recipes included in the box and you get cooking!

They also offer a wide range of ready to eat meals for the weeks when you’re really running out of time.

They also have a section called “our pantry” where you can add products which will come with your weekly Cook It box! This way, you don’t have to go out grocery shopping for whatever else you may need for the week, you can buy it all online (fresh fruits, breakfast, lunches, snacks, etc).

They’ve also launched an eco-pilot project for a sustainable Cook it kit. Their goal is to make their services fully eco-responsible within 2 years. Which means that in 2 years, all their cardboard boxes and plastic bags will be replaced by 100% reusable container.

Hey! Do you know that this could also be a great gift idea? Whether you want to offer it to someone you cherish, or you can want to ask Santa for it! 😉
