It’s always hard to know what to give to your friend who’s expecting. Mostly when your kids are way past the baby stage of even worst if you’re not a parent yet!

As Léa is right into the baby stage with her 2 years old and her 6 months old baby and that Sacha has a lot of friends who recently had kids, we have put together a couple of gift ideas for your next baby shower.

Let’s be honest the list could have had 100 gift ideas on it, but we tried to keep it to the point. We might also be super far away from what your friend would like to receive, so trust your gut ladies! We hope these gift ideas will inspire you to find the perfect gift for your friend. 😉

1. WOODEN TOYS

Wooden toys are a must, they are plastic-free while having a nice texture at the same time. Plus, they are often really quiet as they are battery free! Haha 😉 #NoBeepBeepChoowChoow #MomsEarsWillBeHappy

2. HAIR ACCESSORIES

You can’t go wrong when offering hair accessories to a new mom. Just like these hair band.

3. MUSICAL TOY

Kids love to fall asleep while listening to music! Like this awesome musical toy handmade in Vancouver. Plus, when you know that the object has been made with love, there is no reason why your baby won’t be sleeping at night! 😉 #IWish

4. SUMMER’S POP ‘N SIT BOOSTER SEAT

This pop’n sit booster seat from Summer is my go-to baby seat when going out. We really liked it. It’s easy to carry and it’s not too bulky compared to the usual plastic booster seat. You must admit this is a one of a kind gift!

5. BABYMOOV TENT

We used this tent so much when traveling to put the baby to sleep, at the beach to keep baby in the shade or at home to create a safe place for baby to play. My Babymoov tent has a couple of marks from all the time we have used it and still to this day I couldn’t live without it.

A gift card from La Joie En Rose is the perfect gift for the new mom that wishes to breastfeed her baby. When the time is right, the new mom could order her favorite jewelry mounted with her own breast milk pearl. A very unique gift that the new mom will forever cherish!

7. NAPPY BIN

I know, it may sound weird to give away a nappy… bin… as a baby shower gift, but a nappy bin is a must to keep the bad smell away!

8. BABY WET WIPES

When I was pregnant with Téo, one of my mom friends gave me this recommendation #lol. She gave me a bunch of baby wet wipe from Cosco while telling me that they were the best. Once you try them you can’t go back to buying any other brands. The quality is good, they are wide and thick. If you wish to offer a unique gift to your soon to be mom friend a box of these baby wet wipes from Cosco will surprise her! I am telling you she won’t believe how good they are until she tries them! #ApprovedByLéa

9. A CLASSIC; CLOTHING!

Like this super adorable T-shirt or this handmade skirt. Plus, it’s super appreciated when the garment is made locally and that it has a little something special!

10. BABY SLEEPER

Before becoming a mom, I had no idea what that was and to be honest it’s a great invention. It’s like a mini sleeping bag for your baby. Once your baby is in the sleeper they will be comfortable, and they will stay warm all night long!

11. PACIFIER HOLDER OR TEETHER TOY

If you have a smaller budget or that you wish to add to your gift basket, adding a pacifier holder or even a teether is always a good idea. About 99% of all babies need one of those either to hold their pacifier or their teether when they are teething.

12. BABY’S DISHES & UTENSILS

Before giving birth to Ély, a friend of mine who is also a mama offered me a nice set of dishes and utensils for baby. It’s usually the kind of gift that is rarely offered to a mom and as a mom, I thought it was a great idea.

13. BABY BATH PRODUCTS

Another baby shower gift classic is products for baby’s bath as the new mom will always need them! Pssst make sure to select products that are suitable for babies and organic or without preservative or all naturals or non-toxic is always a plus! Keep in mind that it’s to wash the skin of a precious little baby!
