Mom’s favorite baby products

As a mom of 2 boys – growing way too fast – I have, through the years, learned more and more about baby’s essentials; what I should have at home and what’s really useful with a young family. I want to share with you my thoughts and my recommendations, just like I would do when I chat with my sister. All this to help you in your day-to-day life with your baby.

I will be going over many subjects, from feeding bottles to pacifiers. Items that you will probably need to acquire before the arrival of your little one.

As a mom, I have used all of those items for several months (or even years) to raise my boys.

BABY BOTTLES

In terms of bottles, I know there is a variety of brands and types of bottles out there. It can be difficult to choose the right product when you’re new to this world. I mean, how could you know right away?! It’s impossible! Haha!

I know how confusing it can be, especially when it’s your first-born child… And when everything is new to you. But, if ever you decide to go for a second baby, at that moment you will feel like you know quite a bit already. Although it’s always nice to try out new products.

FOR ALL THE MOMS, WHETHER YOU’RE BREASTFEEDING OR BOTTLE FEEDING!

If you’re not breastfeeding your little one, you may already know about this product. Philips Avent’s anti-colic bottles are a very good option for moms who are bottle feeding their baby and also for moms combining both breastfeeding and bottle feeding… Or for when you go out with your husband and you need grandma to babysit! These antic-colic bottles can turn out to be pretty handy ?!

The anti-colic bottles can be used in all kinds of situations (whether you’re breastfeeding or not), especially if you want to offer your baby the best bottle there is out there.

Philips newest anti-colic bottle is the Philips Anti-Colic Bottle with Air Free Vent. The way this bottle is made, it fills up the nipple with milk entirely when feeding it to your baby. Thanks to its anti-colic and air free vent system, your baby ingests little to no air when drinking.

Reducing the amount of air your baby swallows while nursing can help prevent problems like colic, reflux, and gas. You can also use the bottle without the Air Free ventilation system if you feel like it. Also, it’s very handy when your baby is a little bit older and wants to hold on to their bottles. I love that it’s a product that can be used for a long time from 1-month old and all the way until they are done bottle feeding. It makes for a really good return on your investment while being eco-friendly as you can use them for many months on end!

BABY’S PACIFIER

Same thing here, if you have not experienced it yet, head over to the “pacifier” section of a department store. They’re so many brands and different types of pacifier to choose from, it’s phenomenal. You will literally be welcomed by “THE WALL” filled with pacifiers. Each and every one of them has a specific purpose with different benefits… Looking at all the different options may make you lose your mind!

I remember when I first had Téo (my firstborn), we bought no less than 10 different models of pacifiers before we were able to find the one that our baby liked and kept in its mouth. When I gave birth to Ely, I was prepared for anything, I knew a little bit more about what my babies liked and where to go to get them. Ely likes his pacifier just like the ones Philips Avent offers which are flat and symmetrical. Their soft pacifiers’ respects as much as possible the natural development of the baby’s palate, teeth, and gums. Plus, Philips Avent offers a wide variety of colours.

I personally have a preference for Philips Avent’s “light in the dark” (night time) pacifiers. I always buy those ones! When my baby calls me out to help him at night, in no time I am able to find his pacifier. It takes less than 10 seconds, pretty much the time it takes me to open my eyes #haha! Without any fuss, I find his pacifier as it glows in the dark. So practical!

He is too cute with his soft snuggle ?

You can also get Avent pacifiers in the ult snuggle version which is essentially a plush toy which hooks to their pacifier. It’s easier for your baby to grab it and to hold on to their pacifier. Plus, the plush toy is way too cute.

Which pacifier do you buy for your baby?

Let me know if you have any question baby related!

  1. We have been a Philips Avent family from the very beginning – wouldn’t trust any other bottles or soothers for my two girls.
