We really love trying new products, tasting new flavors and living new experiences. One thing we really like is to find out more about the company that creates these products or that offer those services.
This month, we are talking to you about one of our favorite things to do in Quebec City, some of our favorite skin care products and even more!
Every month, Sacha and I will be sharing our thoughts about a few of our favorites.
SACHA’S FEW FAVORITES
Yves Rocher’s mango and coriander concentrated shower gel
As you might have noticed with some of our Instagram posts, the boyfriend and I recently went on a trip to the Cook Islands. We love to travel light and let me tell you that Yves Rocher’s mango and coriander concentrated shower gel, got a special place in our suitcase. You can shower up to 40 times with this mini format. As we were traveling for 2 weeks, we had more than enough soap for all our showers and the best in all that is that we didn’t have to carry a wet and sticky soap bar. All you need to when showering is a small quantity of shower gel the size of a small pea, plus I love how bubbly and foamy the gel gets once on your skin. That’s one of my all-time favorites for traveling, and I will for sure take it again on any other trip (as well as using it in my shower)!

The novel “How to walk away” by Katherine Center
I have never been a big reader, I usually read 1 book every 2 years! If you compare my reading to Léa’s reading, I don’t read much! Until we went to the Cook Islands for 2 weeks. During that my vacation, I read 3 books of 400+ pages. I could not believe it (that’s like 6 years of reading in 2 weeks #lol). Of all the books I read, there is this novel from Katherine Center How to walk away that touched me deeply. It was a real eye-opener, it made me realize how precious our life is and how we always take small things for granted when actually we shouldn’t. It’s realistic, touching and funny all at the same time. Plus, it’s so easy to read, I took me no less than 36 hours. I finished it so quickly that I had to find a bookstore on the island of Rarotonga to purchase a 3rdbook. The cover says it well “If you just read one book this year, read How to Walk Away”. And I couldn’t agree more.

LÉA’S FEW FAVORITES
NIVEA’s Micellair eye makeup remover
I tested NIVEA’s Micellair eye makeup remover and I was so impressed! As you may know, as a mom of 2 I rarely have the time to take off my makeup… or to do anything else! Haha! This makeup remover from NIVEA is now my favorite, as I can use it in the shower and in no time (like 10 seconds) the micellar formula dissolves my mascara (no need to rub your eyes). When you’re done showering, you’re left with no traces of makeup and therefore I don’t look like a raccoon as I used too when using other makeup removers. ??If you’re looking for a good makeup remover I highly recommend this one!

Fishing in the city, it’s possible! – Chauveau Park
This summer, we felt like going fishing with our little family. At first, we thought of renting a cabin up in the woods, but it gets pretty expensive, plus you need to pack for a weekend and just the thought of it made me want to stay home #Lol. Then I did some research and found out that we can easily fish in Quebec City. After looking at a couple places, it’s at the Chauveau Park that we went. A couple of fish bite our line, we even caught some fish (as they add fish in the St-Charles river every summer) and we also saw ducks. We really enjoyed being in nature, it felt as if we were super far from the city (but not really). For more information about fishing in the city, you can visit their website.

St-Hubert now serves brunch!
A couple of weeks ago, I went to see the new decor at the St-Hubert Restaurant off the Jules Verne exit, in Québec City. I will for sure be going back with family to try out their all-new brunch. Oh yes! St-Hubert now serves brunch, and their menu is super original and looks pretty delightful! Have a look at their Belgian waffle and crispy chicken breast or even their deluxe breakfast burger. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the upcoming playroom (as it was still under construction when I went) and it looked gorgeous. Can you imagine, being there on a Sunday morning enjoying a WARM coffee with your partner while the kids are playing around in the playroom? That sounds pretty amazing!
